Dr. Sandy Nosseir is a fellowship trained Urogynecologist. She completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology under the Yale New Haven Health System at Bridgeport Hospital, Connecticut. She went on to complete her subspecialty training in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery in the North Shore LIJ Health System in Manhasset, NY.
She offers a number of surgical and non-surgical treatment options including pelvic floor training and physical therapy, pessary fitting and pessary care, medical management, vaginal surgery, and abdominal surgery. She is also trained in and offers minimally invasive robotic assisted laparoscopic surgery. For patients with refractory overactive bladder or urinary retention, Dr. Nosseir also offers sacral neuromodulation therapy.
Dr. Nosseir understands that pelvic floor disorders can often be complex and can significantly detract from a patients quality of life. Because each woman is affected and may mange these problems in different ways, she believes in an approach that is tailored to the individual. She strives to help patients and their loved ones to participate in their treatment plans by first helping them to understand their symptoms and the relative risks and benefits that come with different management options.
Dr. Nosseir is one of the few Board Certified and Fellowship trained Urogynecologists in the area. She enjoys her profession and the long lasting relationships she has built with her patients. Her current interest in practice is the further development of minimally invasive robotic assisted surgery in Urogynecology. It is her wish to offer the highest standards of care in a comfortable, efficient, effective and compassionate manner.
Her personal interests include gardening, traveling, spiritual practices, meditation, yoga, cooking, community service and spending time with her friends and family.
